Questions

Group Cruise Questions, Answered

How many people make a group?

Most cruise lines define a group as 8 or more cabins, usually 16 guests. Larger groups may qualify for additional benefits such as onboard credits, private gathering space, or complimentary berth opportunities depending on the cruise line and sailing.

What kind of groups can travel together?

We plan travel for churches, ministries, Bible study groups, small fellowships, veterans’ ministries, and family groups seeking a faith-centered experience at sea. You can also invite friends or community members outside your congregation.

Can we hold worship or devotionals onboard?

Yes. Most cruise lines allow private group gatherings for prayer, worship, or devotions. We can help request meeting rooms, times, and available A/V support so your group can worship together during the sailing.

Do we have to charter the ship?

No. Your group can sail on a regular cruise among other travelers while enjoying private times for fellowship and worship. This keeps costs lower while still offering an uplifting shared experience.

What benefits do group leaders receive?

Group leaders may earn complimentary berths, onboard credits, or exclusive perks depending on the cruise line, sailing, and group size. We’ll outline available incentives before booking.

How far in advance should we start planning?

For best pricing and cabin availability, it is wise to start 8–12 months before your desired sail date. Larger groups and popular itineraries can sell out earlier, so advance planning helps secure better rates and room locations.

Do you handle payments for each traveler?

Yes. Travelers book through BTC Faith Tours under the group space, and we help manage individual payments, registration guidance, deadlines, and room assignments so group leaders do not have to collect or track funds themselves.

Can groups join shore excursions together?

Absolutely. We can help coordinate your group to join the same cruise line excursions or explore private group options when available, depending on the destination and supplier.

What if our group includes travelers from different states?

That is not a problem. We can serve groups with travelers from different locations and help coordinate flights, transfers, digital pre-cruise meetings, and individual booking support while keeping everyone connected to the same group space.

Can travelers book their own cabin and still be part of the group?

No. To receive group benefits and be included in the group reservation, travelers need to book through BTC Faith Tours under the group space. Travelers may still live in different states and pay individually, but their reservation must be connected to the group from the beginning.
